Industry Symposia – Amgen

An Integrated IMID clinic: A multidisciplinary
case-based approach

Wednesday 24th June 15:35-16:05

This is a promotional symposium developed and funded by Amgen for healthcare professionals and other relevant decision makers only.

Traditionally, Immune-mediated inflammatory disease (IMID) have been managed in silos across gastroenterology, rheumatology and dermatology, frequently resulting in fragmented care, delayed diagnosis, and potential suboptimal treatment alignment. However, increasing therapeutic complexity, expanding treatment options, evolving guidelines, and rising patient expectations are challenging this model.

This symposium explores why managing IBD is becoming more complex and examines whether alternative, more integrated approaches may better reflect the shared immunological drivers of these conditions. Using real-world case studies, the session will illustrate how multidisciplinary collaboration and coordinated decision-making may support more holistic, patient-centred care.

Attendees will be invited to consider the potential clinical, service-level and practical implications of integrated IMID management, followed by an interactive Q&A to encourage discussion and shared learning.
