Dr Deepa Nayar, a Consultant Microbiologist at Newcastle Upon Tyne NHS Foundation Trust, will provide a brief overview of Clostridioides difficile infection (CDI) and the suggested link with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) flares, particularly ulcerative colitis. Dr Nayar will discuss the risk factors of CDI, the challenges of CDI in IBD, and the management of patients with CDI. Tillotts products will be mentioned in this talk.
