As part of the wider BSG focus on sustainability, we are working with our venue, suppliers and stakeholders to reduce the carbon and overall environmental footprint of this event.

Our Venue, the ACC Liverpool are 100% energy renewable certified, and send zero waste to Landfill – to read more about the venue’s social impact plan please click here.

We are producing minimal conference material with a non-plastic lanyard and enhanced use of technology to help attendees navigate the event. As of 2022, the BSG has also minimised paper waste by stepping away from traditional printed posters and introducing digital “e-posters”.

All social and ancillary events are accessible within a 15-minute walk of the venue, and we encourage use of public transport.

There will be a reduction in international travel with some speakers presenting virtually.

We are also holding a sustainability symposium and are encouraging all our exhibitors to make major reductions on printed materials and other unnecessary items.

The BSG is committed to sustainability and we welcome your feedback and suggestions – please email conference@bsg.org.uk, or come to our stand during the event.

Help us work towards a green BSG LIVE

Delegate support is vital to achieving our sustainable goals. We, therefore, ask that you:

  • Bring your own congress bag. The BSG will not be providing congress bags this year.
  • Bring a reusable water bottle to refill at the numerous water points located throughout the venue.
  • Driving to BSG LIVE? Why not carpool with a friend or colleague?
